Isle of wight night sky and nature workshop
Come join Tim Wells from Light at Night photography for a 3 night Astrophotography workshop around the beautiful scenery of the isle of wight.
With the well known dark Skies of the island Tim will take you to his favourite locations and help you catch the stars. (weather permitted)
on a cloudy or moonlit night Tim will help you capture some lovely sights and still go through with you how he captures the stars at night.
This workshop offers you an opportunity to explore the beautiful areas of the Isle of wight whilst learning how to capture the light between dusk and dawn. We start by, taking advantage of the Blue Hour to capture local seaside towns like Ventnor, as well as a lighthouse or two that can be found. We then track down some clear skies with the aim to photograph stunning starlit landscapes along with the opportunity to capture the Milky Way.

Easy level. we will try and get as close to most our view points as possible but we will have to take a walk to some of the remote locations.

Throughout the day we will spend it exploring areas allowing us the chance to scout the area before dark, This allows us to not only pick the best compositions but also for your personal safety.
by taking advantage of blue hour we will aim to photograph the Coastal towns or the Lighthouses making them perfect targets for those fantastic twilight hours. We will then hunt out clear skies to capture some stunning starlit landscapes.
Should the skies remain clear we can stay awake until the early hours of the morning and capture the Milky Way

WHERE ARE WE STAYING?
We will be staying at a travel lodge as this is a prime location for a base and as we aim to be out in the fields 80% of the time we only need somewhere to lay our head, Although if everyone who books are happy to share we could look at upgrading to a lodge or cottage..
WHAT DO YOU NEED?
- Camera, lenses, SD card, batteries and tripod
- Outdoor clothes suitable for all weather (waterproofs and sturdy footwear)
- Personal accident, injury, and travel insurance.
- Laptop (not essential but beneficial for any post-processing)
